3RD ANNUAL SUPPLIERS EVENT

Our event in May is an opportunity for food manufacturers, ingredient companies, color and flavor houses, scientific instrument companies, food service, consultants, and any company that wants to show their products and services via tabletop display to others in the food industry. This can be done with samples, literature, demos and anything to properly show the merits of your product.

In addition to the tabletop display, we are encouraging purchasing, sales reps, technical reps, research and development, culinary chefs, owners of small and large business to walk through our facility and discuss business needs with these vendors. This exchange will spur ideas for immediate consideration or some time in the near future and will establish new business relationships.  This is an opportunity to interact with the real consumer, as it may give you or the consumer chance to hear about a new product or application not heard of before.

Please come out, learn about local companies, and network with local food professionals over appetizers and refreshments.  This event is open to all involved in the food industry and I also encourage you to bring an associate, spouse or friend. This is our year-end event sponsored by South Florida Institute of Food Technologists. If for some reason you cannot attend, but want to contribute a door prize, please let us also hear from you. We will be contacting membership about attending this event, both as tabletop supplier and also as attendee. CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE 3/5/2011

Hello All South Florida IFT Members,

I want to thank Pollo Tropical and Jeff Webb along with his staff for a fantastic evening of light refreshments, assortment of appetizers and complete buffet of Caribbean delights. This event was held at the Pollo Tropical Culinary Innovative Center in Miami with 21 members enjoying a slide presentation of the process necessary to develop a great menu with good economic value.
Good conversation, meeting old friends, new friends, and many business cards were exchanged during the evening.

Here is a testimony:

John this has to be one of the best IFT local meetings I have attended in a long time.  Congratulations in lining up such an informative event.  The presentation by Jeff Webb was really informative and he demonstrated his control of the English language in his clear and concise delivery of the presentation.

The laboratory demonstration by both Chefs was really impressive and it was also impacting the state of the art kitchen at this facility.

I hope that future events take place in the South Florida area and that the people are as receptive to this type of event.

Vernetta Dally, myself, and other board members are planning the April event scheduled for April 18, 2012 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL (more details coming) and the 4th Annual Suppliers Tabletop Event to be held in Plantation, FL.
